While the Creators Update for PC brings some sweeping changes, for Windows 10 Mobile it feels more like an incremental release. There are plenty of new additions, of course, but Windows 10 Mobile users are not going to find a wholly new experience. Indeed, most of the differences are service design or performance related and not focused on new features. For example, Microsoft has changed Wi-Fi and device settings to be closer to those on PC. The company has made settings more clearly visible on Windows 10 Mobile. App Reset is a new feature for mobile, but has been available on PC since the Anniversary Update. It gives users the ability to reset an app back to its original state to sold problems.

Unfortunately, not a lot has changed on Windows 10 Mobile through the Creators Update. Users will see a new launch screen that comes with a black background and new layout. In terms of capabilities, the virtual assistant can now control music playback in a wider selection of applications. Changes have also been made to Microsoft Edge. Specifically, the web browser now enhances text scaling when viewing and zooming on websites. Users can also read books directly in the browser on the smartphone that’s to DRM-free EPUB format support. As we have discussed before, the Creators Update also brings the Unified Update Platform. The company debuted the Unified Update Platform (UUP) in November. Microsoft developed the platform to reduce the size of updates and to make finding new updates more efficient. This is particularly important for feature updates.
Paint 3D
3D was a major part of the Creators Update on PC, but it takes a back seat on mobile. Unfortunately, Paint 3D is not a part of Windows 10 Mobile, but users can still get some use from the PC software. With View 3D, users can see models and creations from Paint 3D on their Windows 10 Mobile devices. As mentioned, the Creators Update is only rolling out to 13 devices. Luckily, Microsoft yesterday announced a path to allow users on older Windows Phone devices to upgrade to the newer release.
